Who we are

SYNC is an underground electronic music events brand based in Birmingham, United Kingdom. For anything relating to this policy or your data, email management@syncmusicuk.org.

What we collect

Only what you type into a form on this site:

• — Mailing list: your email address and phone number.
• — Store notifications: your email address.
• — Contact form: your name, email address, enquiry type and message.

This site does not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, and it does not set any cookies of its own.

Why we use it, and our lawful basis

Contact form submissions are used to answer your enquiry — our lawful basis is legitimate interests (responding to someone who has contacted us). Mailing list and store details are used to send you event announcements, line-ups, ticket links and store news — our lawful basis is your consent, given when you submit the form. You can withdraw consent at any time.

How long we keep it

Enquiries are kept for up to 24 months. Mailing list details are kept until you ask to be removed or the list is closed.

Who else sees it

This site is hosted on Netlify, and form submissions are processed and stored by Netlify on our behalf. Ticket links point to Skiddle, and social links point to Instagram and TikTok — those are separate services with their own privacy policies, and we don’t share your details with them. We never sell your data.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, erase, restrict or object to our use of your personal data, and to data portability. To exercise any of these, email management@syncmusicuk.org — we’ll respond within one month. If you’re not satisfied, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes

If this policy changes we’ll update the date at the top of this page.
